WORK
I've had the joy of working with authors, game developers and human rights groups over the years, while also translating from French and German into English. See below for examples of how I help creators and organisations expand their reach.
KEY PROJECTS
Elfriede Jelinek’s Am Königsweg
ACADEMIC TRANSLATION
At the end of my MA in Literary Translation at UEA, I was grateful to be recognised with the 2020 BCLT Prize for Best Dissertation.
My work, a translation and commentary entitled ‘Themes and Variations: Translating Am Königsweg by Elfriede Jelinek’, focussed on the wordplay, musicality and intertextuality of the text, exploring how I as translator could adopt a musical approach to translating just as Jelinek adopts a musical approach to her writing.
TRANSLATION - TRANSLATION THEORY
Far from Brussels by Stefan Enders
PHOTOGRAPHY TRANSLATION
Following my traineeship at the European Parliament in Luxembourg, I translated
Far from Brussels by renowned photographer Stefan Enders on behalf of InterTrans, their freelance agency.
It was a pleasure to translate the stories of the diverse and interesting people Enders had met as he circumnavigated the EU.

Best-selling video games
VIDEOGAMES LOCALISATION
I've had the privilege of working on some major video game titles on behalf of Keywords Studios.
I work for Keywords as a translator, editor, adapter and consultant. Lately, I have been heading up their lovingly named “Jokes Council”, whereby I support translators from English into other languages with puns, slang and obscure British idioms.
CONSULTANCY - MULTIMEDIA TRANSLATION
Translating for the European Parliament
TRAINEESHIP
I spent a rewarding six months at the European Parliament in Luxembourg translating documents of a political, financial and legal nature from French, German and Spanish into English, expanding and validating the Interactive Terminology for Europe, and observing committee meetings and parliamentary sessions in Brussels and Strasbourg.

TRANSLATING FOR A LITERARY ANTHOLOGY
CONTRIBUTOR
I recently translated Olivia Wenzel’s powerful short story ‘Das kleine Schwarze, das große Weiße, die Nacht dazwischen’ – ‘The Little Black One, the Great White One, the Night Between Them’ – for the anthology Writing Europe: Art, Craft and Place in Contemporary European Short Stories. This project deepened my engagement with the ethics of translating trauma, ensuring that the translation empowered the author to share her story in a second language, in a way that she was comfortable with. Publication is scheduled for Spring 2026.
