ACADEMIC TRANSLATION
At the end of my MA in Literary Translation at UEA, I was grateful to be recognised with the 2020 BCLT Prize for Best Dissertation.
My work, a translation and commentary of On the Royal Road, focussed on the wordplay, musicality and intertextuality that make the novel such an effective allegory of present times.

I served as lead translator of Far from Brussels by renowned photographer Stefan Enders on behalf of InterTrans Agency.
Sharing the stories of the people Enders had met on his various EU-wide travels with a global audience was a real treat.

I've had the privilege of being involved in various aspects of Microsoft-produced videogames ever since Keywords Studios connected us.
By establishing myself as someone trained in Microsoft's strict code of conduct for translation work, I have been able to continue operating as a core member of the team and supporting them in various capacities — as translator, editor, adapter, and consultant.

Translating for the European Parliament

I spent a rewarding six months with the European Parliament in Luxembourg translating parliamentary documents of a political, financial, and legal nature from French, German and Spanish; expanding and validating the Interactive Terminology for Europe; and observing committee meetings and parliamentary sessions in Brussels and Strasbourg.

TRANSLATING FOR A LITERARY ANTHOLOGY

I recently translated a moving anthology piece centered on the internal processing of a traumatic event. This project deepened my engagement with the ethics of translating trauma — specifically, the challenge of remaining faithful to the survivor’s voice while maintaining sensitivity toward the reader. This delicate balance was achieved through close consultation with Olivia Wenzel, the author of my chosen piece, with publication scheduled for 2026.
